GAMEDIA: Media Literacy Through Gamification

About the project GAMEDIA is a media literacy initiative that helps young people strengthen their critical thinking and build resilience against misinformation and disinformation. In today’s world of fake news spreading across both traditional and social media, young people need the skills to question, verify, and make informed choices.

The project uses a creative gamification approach — turning learning into a hands-on, engaging experience. By collaborating with partners from Sweden, Italy, Spain, Romania, and Lithuania, GAMEDIA combines diverse perspectives and proven practices to fight fake news. Youth workers from across Europe join forces to promote media literacy in ways that are practical, inclusive, and accessible.

What we do

  • Research the most common and harmful forms of misinformation and disinformation.

  • Develop The Project Game — a card-based board game designed for media literacy workshops with young people.
